The most flattering thing that happened this week was a recently-returned-from-mat-leave colleague asking me how I ‘always look so pulled together’ in the office.
Yes to all of these, especially gold jewellery and tinted lip balm. I’m currently in the trenches with my second baby and I’ve completely forgotten how to dress. I got a Dyson hairdryer a couple of years ago and it has been game changing. No matter how terrible I look in other ways, if I can run it through my hair it looks polished in not very much time at all.
Hair is my new mission! I found it a real shock going back to work after my second mat leave because I’d literally been wearing leggings and a giant jumper for 9 months
Loved this! It made me feel good while reading it because it felt light and practical — so thank you for that. I’m currently in my fourth wave of “postpartum” meltdown style (do I still have the pp excuse if I’m 17 months in?! Undecided 😅) and appreciated the gold jewellery and trousers tip!
Oh this is good to hear! Ha it’s really annoying when you start questioning whether you can use the pp excuse any more - I keep wanting to say to class exercise instructors “look guys, I am only 15 months postpartum” but then there are people there who had babies 12 weeks ago 😂

Ohhhh yes. It’s so strange having to actually get dressed!
Thank you for the lovely mention Sophie 💕💕💕💕 You look gorge xx
Seems only fair when I buy half the things in your newsletter! Thank you xx

“Postpartum meltdown style” - that is so relatable (and me right now!) 🥴
