I put my bedtime skin care routine in the kids bathroom and it’s changed my life. No really. They play in the bath, I bathe my face. It’s glorious.

This is really helpful, thinking about time and energy. I have just discovered the Cherry Pick app for meal planning and shopping, it has made a huge difference to our week!

I loved this so much. Totally burnt out working parent carer here. Turns out I’m doing most of these already which made me feel like I am WINNING on a day that made me feel like I’m losing 😂

I, too, have a subscription from Who Gives a Crap; for years now. And you’re not wrong-we have rolls stashed in every cabinet in the house! I think they actually multiply!

I am working to implement two things:

1. Beauty supplies in family bathroom. Better light and also easier to do my routine while my daughter brushes teeth or takes a bath.

2. Bday Gifts - I think I am just going to buy 10 $25 gift cards to the bookstore or neighborhood ice cream place. The cards piece is interesting and I should probably have those in my back pocket as well.

These are genius, thank you. I was considering using an AI assistant to make appointments for me but your idea is way more sensible!

My top tip for kids birthdays - don't buy cards just write the name and who from on wrapping paper with a felt tip pen...

No cards here; our kids draw a pic for the birthday kid (with zero supervision from me).

As someone who is about to go back to work after mat leave, this is very very helpful - the skincare bag in particular! I’ve recently discovered the term ‘side quests’ which I think is probably a rehash of chores.

Amazing list. I really need to ditch the “every meal is an adventure 🤡” mindset and adapt the house meal. Totally agree that it’s worth paying for home delivery/pickup. Also planning in thing immediately. Just schedule it and think of it no more.
